Early Years Pupil Premium
Three and four year olds who are looked after by the local authority or who have left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order are also eligible for Early Years Pupil Premium Funding. Devon County Council pays 53p an hour for every hour of funded early years provision that they attend directly to the childcare provider.
Funded places for 2-year-olds
Carers of two-year-old children that are looked after by the Local Authority will be sent a Golden Ticket to take to their chosen childcare provider. The Golden Ticket entitles the child to 570 hours a year of funded childcare.
Two-year-old children that have left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order are also eligible for a funded 2 year old place. Devon County Council needs the parents/ carers to provide evidence that the child is no longer in care. Once this has been checked the parent/carer is given a number to take to a childcare provider so that a funded place can be booked.
